About VelOps
What is VelOps?
VelOps is team management and race logistics software for professional cycling teams (men's, women's and development squads): a back office for races, selections, travel, staff and team cars, plus a rider app. Staff plan the season in the back office, while riders see their own races, travel and teammates in the app. Everything is connected, so a selection made for a race feeds straight into the calendars, the logistics and the rider app.
What software do professional cycling teams use for race logistics?
The right tool is cycling team management and race logistics software: one system for the race programme, selections, travel, hotels and vehicles, instead of scattered spreadsheets, emails and group chats. VelOps is built for exactly this. Every race is an event with its own selection, transport legs, hotel bookings, results, documents and tasks, and riders see their own races and travel in the rider app.
Does VelOps support women's and development teams?
Yes. VelOps manages men's, women's and development (Devo) squads in one platform. Riders are grouped by division in every race selection, the rider calendar shows all races per division, and the season dashboard filters race days per rider by Men, Women or Devo.

Rider app
Is there an app for riders that shows races, flights and hotels?
Yes. The VelOps rider app shows each rider their own races as race cards, with dates, classification and their status: Selected or Reserve. For each race, My trip lists the rider's transport legs, such as a flight, train, vehicle or pick-up, with times and references, plus the hotel with its dates. Riders also see which teammates and staff are going to the same race.
How do riders get their travel details?
Staff record the travel for each race in the back office, including the e-ticket code and baggage for each traveller. Each rider then finds their own transport legs and hotel under My trip in the rider app, where race documents can be shown too. Flights and trains only appear once staff mark them visible, so the team decides when travel details are shared.
How do riders report changes to their personal details?
The profile in the rider app shows a rider's date of birth, address, email, phone, masked bank details, masked passport number and passport expiry. If something is wrong or out of date, the rider sends a change request from the app. The request lands as a task in the back office, so staff can pick it up from the task list.

Back office & planning
Can staff see who travels on which flight?
Yes. Each race has a Logistics tab that groups travellers per transport leg, with departure and arrival place and time, flight reference, driver and vehicle. For each traveller, staff record an e-ticket code, ticket link and baggage. An ‘also on’ flag shows when someone is booked on another leg, and one flight can be linked to two races.
Can we plan team cars and drivers?
Yes. The fleet calendar shows every vehicle, from team cars to the bus and truck, with driver initials and race assignments, plus when it is at the service course or free. Transport legs in a race's logistics can also record a driver and vehicle. Vehicle maintenance is tracked in the back office, and a vehicle's contract expiry is shown when it falls within a month.
Does VelOps track results and race days?
Yes. Results are recorded per rider and race day, with position, time, gap and UCI points. The season dashboard counts race days per rider, split into days ridden and days still to ride, and the rider calendar shows race days per rider across the programme.

Licences & getting started
How is VelOps licensed?
VelOps has two licences: VelOps Rider for riders and VelOps Crew for staff, admin and performance. Both are billed per user per month, and you pick the right licence for each person. Prices are available on request.
Can VelOps be set up in our team's colours?
Yes. Branding is part of the set-up: the apps can be delivered in your team's colours, logo and fonts. Riders then open an app that feels like their own team's app.
How do we get started?
Getting started has four stages. First, you book a demo, where we look at how your team works today and show VelOps live. Second, we set VelOps up in your team's colours, logo and fonts. Third, we load your riders, staff, race programme and fleet. Finally, you go live: riders open the app on their phone and staff work in the back office.

Where is our data hosted?
VelOps data is hosted in European data centres. That covers what your team keeps in VelOps, from race programmes and travel details to rider profiles.

Does the website use cookies?
No. The velops.app website does not use cookies and has no tracking. We only count visits anonymously (the date, the page and where the visit came from), without storing anything on your device. The details are in our privacy notice.
