Legal notice

This website, velops.app, is operated by GetDigit, the company behind VelOps.

  • Company: GetDigit (Belgium)
  • Enterprise and VAT number: BE 0801.838.226
  • Email: info@velops.app

The product screens on this website are illustrations with fictitious data.

Privacy notice

This notice explains which personal data this website processes, why, and what your rights are. It covers the website velops.app only, not the VelOps apps that teams use.

GetDigit (details above) is the controller of this data. For any privacy question or request, email info@velops.app.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies and does not store or read anything else on your device, such as local storage. It has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no social-media plugins and no content embedded from other websites. Fonts, images and scripts all come from velops.app itself. Your browser may keep an ordinary cached copy of our pages so they load faster.

We do not profile visitors, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

When you email us or use the demo form

The demo form does not send or store anything. It opens your own email app with your request filled in, and you decide whether to send it to info@velops.app.

When you email us, we receive what you include, usually your name, email address, team, team size and message, plus standard email details such as the date and time.

  • Purpose: to answer your question or demo request, to arrange and give the demo, and to follow up with a proposal for your team.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and following up with the team you represent (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you contact us on your own behalf to prepare an agreement with you personally, the processing is also needed for steps you asked us to take before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Required? No. But without your name and email address we cannot reply.
  • How long we keep it: if no agreement follows, we delete your request and our correspondence within 12 months of our last contact. If your team becomes a customer, we keep it while we work together. After that we keep it only as long as the law requires (for example for accounting) or as needed to establish or defend legal claims.
  • We will not add you to newsletters or marketing mailings without your consent.

Technical data when you visit

When you visit, your browser automatically sends technical data to our hosting provider: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, your browser and operating system, the referring page and the response status. The hosting provider uses this to deliver the website and keep it secure, for example to detect abuse and attacks.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • We do not use this data for analytics or profiling, and we do not combine it with other data.
  • We cannot see or download these logs ourselves. The hosting provider keeps them only as long as it needs to run and secure the service, and then deletes them.

Who receives your data

We only share personal data with service providers that process it on our behalf, follow our instructions and are bound by a data processing agreement:

  • our cloud hosting provider, which delivers the website and keeps its technical logs;
  • our business email provider, which receives and stores email sent to us.

Where needed, we may also share data with professional advisers who are bound by confidentiality, or with authorities when the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

Data outside the European Economic Area

Email you send us is stored by our email provider in the European Union. Pages on velops.app are served from our hosting provider's data centre in the European Union. If you type www.velops.app, that first request may be answered by the nearest server in the provider's global network, which can be outside the European Economic Area (EEA), before you are redirected to velops.app. Our providers may also access data from outside the EEA for support, maintenance and security.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision (EU) 2021/914). You can ask us for a copy at info@velops.app.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you access to your personal data;
  • correct it;
  • erase it;
  • restrict how we use it;
  • give it to you in a portable format, where we process it to prepare or perform a contract with you.

Email info@velops.app. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.

Your right to object

Where we use your data on the basis of our legitimate interests (your emails and the technical data described above), you can object at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation. We will then stop, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or we need the data to establish or defend legal claims. You can always object to direct marketing, free of charge and without giving a reason.

Complaints

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, contact@apd-gba.be, +32 2 274 48 00. You can file a complaint online (form in Dutch, French or German): Dutch · French. You can also complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
